Lots of ways! Pretty much everything you come across every day will have been influenced by engineers. The house you live in will have been built by engineers, roads, cars, trains are all designed by engineers, and the products we use every day are made by engineers. Chemical engineers for example, process food, make medicines and ensure we have enough fuel to drive and make electricity.

Almost everything you own, everything you use and everything you see has been designed or had input from an engineer. It is a very diverse field to work in, which I think makes it very interesting and exciting! Without engineering, we wouldn’t have computers, TVs, Internet, Cars, Trains, Planes, Phones etc..

It makes processes a lot easier and simpler. Also the development in engineering has made us advance in stuff like healthcare helping to cure and find remedies for lots of different things. Without engineering we wouldn’t have the things we take for granted 🙂

Everything around you was in some way engineered. Somebody had to design it in such a way that it can be manufactured. Everything has had some thought put into how it will look and function. Engineering is a key skill that the world needs, and there is plenty of work out there.
