Question: is being an engineer a good job and do you recommend your jobs to other people?

Engineer is a very broad term and can refer to lots of different jobs! Generally though, engineers fix things or design, operate and maintain equipment and processes. Most people I know very much enjoy their work and there is an engineering skills shortage in the UK so it shouldn’t be too difficult to get a job if you decide to go into engineering.

Personally, I love my work and would recommend doing a PhD to anyone who enjoys finding out new things!
