For BT’s reputation and revenue my job is very important to them as if i do not do my testing correctly it could result in the bt sport app failing which would lose a lost of customers and break relationships with our clients.

However ensuring the BT sport app is up and running doesn’t have a direct impact on worldwide issues .

For the Ministry of Defence, including the RAF and Royal Navy, my work is important in delivering and maintaining an aircraft that is effective in an operational environment and also safe to operate. It is important to me personally due to my interest in aircraft too.

Every engineers job is important in some way. For me it is important that I have thought of everything, and that I have tested everything to the limits. You can’t get a satellite back once you have sent it to space, and some missions can cost hundreds of millions to build. I think its really important to take pride in your work, and make sure you do your best to build the best thing you can.

I consider my job to be very important. Airline companies rely on us to keep their planes flying so they can get their passengers from A to B. The longer their planes are on the ground, the more money they lose and so do we.

I hope my work is important and will help others to build on the things I’ve found out when they carry out their own research. My work will also help contribute to finding ways of dealing with plastics more effectively than we are now but, in reality, it needs investment for the process I’ve developed to be scaled up and may not be directly used in the long term.
